Configuration guidelines

When you configure a static route, follow these guidelines:
If you do not specify the preference, the default preference will be used. Reconfiguration of the
default preference applies only to newly created static routes. The Web interface does not support
configuration of the default preference.
If you specify the next hop address first and then configure it as the IP address of a local interface,
such as a VLAN interface, the static route does not take effect.
When you specify the output interface, note the following:
If the output interface is Null 0, no next hop address is required.
If the output interface is a broadcast interface (such as a VLAN interface), which might have
multiple next hops, you must specify the output interface and the next hop at the same time.
You can delete only IPv4 and IPv6 static routes on the Remove tab.
