Management Interfaces

The S4810 and Z9000 systems support the Management Ethernet interface as well as the standard S-Series
interface on any port. Either method can be used to connect to the system.
Configure Management Interfaces on the E-Series, C-Series,
S4810 and Z9000
On the E-Series, C-Series, S4810 and Z9000, the dedicated Management interface provides management
access to the system. You can configure this interface with FTOS, but the configuration options on this
interface are limited. Gateway addresses and IP addresses cannot be configured if it appears in the main
routing table of FTOS. In addition, Proxy ARP is not supported on this interface.
