MiniSAS Cable Connection (SAS Type)

Connect the ETERNUS2000 and server with miniSAS cables.

The following explains how to connect a miniSAS cable.

Do
• Before starting, make sure to attach a wrist strap or touch the metal
frame of the device to eliminate static electricity. Failure to discharge
static electricity may cause device failure.
• When connecting external (signal, power, etc.) cables, avoid pulling
them as it may cause damage.
Do Not
• Do not bend the cable too much or bind it up. Doing so may cause a
device damage or failure.

Do not bend square
When connecting miniSAS cables, check the connector orientation and
then firmly push it all the way in.
When disconnecting miniSAS cables, use the pull-tab to extract the con-
nector.
