Refer to "ETERNUS2000 models 100 and 200 disk storage system Package
Contents" and check that no items are missing.
Check that all components of the ETERNUS2000 are in normal status, using the
Device Status display menu of the maintenance program.
Remove the front cover.
Refer to "2.2.3 Attaching and Removing the Front Cover" (page 40)
Wear an antistatic wrist strap or touch the metal frame of the ETERNUS2000 to
discharge static electricity.
Stop all I/O access by the server(s).
Click the [Hot expansion...] button on the [System] tab screen of the mainte-
nance program.
Select [Disk hot expansion], and click the [OK] button.
The disk hot expansion procedure screen appears.
