Running in Server Failover Mode
Server Failover provides a resiliency solution for your network
management needs where a quick failover from an Active Server to a
Dormant Server is required. In the event of the Active Server failing, the
Dormant Server will take over the EMS operations and allow clients to
connect and carry out EMS operations as usual.
The Active server operates as a traditional EMS server. The Dormant
server opens a connection to the Active server to check the server is
available and to keep up-to-date with the Active server.
Both servers share a common database. The internal embedded
database is not compatible with Server Failover. If you wish to use
Server Failover you will need to use an external database.
