EMS Software

Components

EMS is a client-server management solution that provides a Java-based

GUI for managing individual SNMP devices.

EMS comes bundled with three main software applications for you to

use:

Server

■

Runs as a Java application

■

No GUI components

■

Runs from a DOS/Shell prompt

■

Has a console command line interface

■

GUI client

■

Manages network devices and organizes them in an explorer tree

■

Maps MIB objects to their associated device

■

Provides event logs for all GUI activity

■

CLI client

■

Contains no GUI component

■

Provides a remote command line interface to the EMS server

■
