Deploying on an EMS Server
If you deploy an external database on the EMS server itself, use the
following minimum hardware requirements, which differ from the
original requirements found in
CPU — If the CPU speed requirements from the external database
■
vendor conflict with the original EMS requirements, use the faster of
the two speeds.
RAM — Use the summation of memory requirements required for
■
both EMS and the external database, which is provided by the
database vendor.
Deploying on a Dedicated Server
If you deploy an external database on a dedicated database server, the
minimum hardware requirements are determined by the requirements for
that specific platform. These requirements are completely independent
from the EMS server hardware requirements.
