is no guarantee that it will be allowed to. In the daily console log, you will
see entries similar to the following:
11/27/2004 14:53:38 (E) ** SERVER PANIC - Attempting to close logs and
database connections **
11/27/2004 14:53:38 (I) FDServerLog:log\AuditLog-20021127.log
shutting down...
11/27/2004 14:53:38 (I) ObjectDB: Database connection shutting down...
Database fdserver is shutting down...
Database fdserver shutdown complete.
11/27/2004 14:53:38 (I) FDNotificationSender: Stop broadcasting server

This is an indication that Windows forced the EMS server to stop.
Currently, there is no mechanism to prevent this from happening.
To access the server console commands available from a daemon, see
Displaying Server Console Commands
To shut down the EMS server, enter one of the following commands from
the EMS Server command prompt:
exit
quit
stop
To start the EMS GUI client, see
If you are already logged into the EMS GUI client and you want to log in
as another user, select the "Log in as another user command" from the
"File" menu. The current EMS GUI client session stops and the "Login"
screen appears.
You can log out of the EMS GUI client in one of two ways:
From the "File" menu, click "Log out".
Click the logout and exit button on the EMS GUI Toolbar, as shown in
Figure
