This section describes how to install Version 2.0 of the 3Com Software
Integration Kit, which is distributed on a CD-ROM.
Before installing the 3Com Integration Kit, you must install Sun
Microsystems Java 2 Runtime Environment version 1.4.2 or later.
1 Launch the 3Com Integration installer by browsing the CD's contents and
running the file setup.jar. On a Windows operating system double-click
setup.jar in Windows Explorer. On Solaris (or from a Windows command
line) you can run the install by typing

The examples shown in this section are for HP OpenView Network Node
Manager installation. The Tivoli NetView installation is very similar.

2 Once initialization completes, click Next.
The license agreement section appears.
3 Read the License Agreement and click the I accept the terms of the
license agreement radio button.
4 Click Next.
The next screen allows you to determine the directory where the
Integration Kit should install.
5 Click Next to choose the default location, or click Browse to customize
the installation location.
