Define neighbor-specific
properties.
Applying Policies to RIPng Routes Imported from Neighbors (NSM Procedure)
To filter routes being imported by the local routing device from its neighbors, use the
Import option and list the names of one or more policies to be evaluated. If you specify
more than one policy, they are evaluated in order (first to last) and the first matching
policy is applied to the route. If no match is found, the local routing device does not import
any routes.
To configure neighbor specific parameters for RIPng in NSM:
In the NSM navigation tree, select Device Manager > Devices.

Click the Device Tree tab, and then double-click the device to select it.
2.
Click the Configuration tab. In the configuration tree, expand Protocols.
3.
Select Ripng.
4.
Add or modify settings as specified in Table 192 on page 343.
5.
Click one:

OK—Saves the changes.
Cancel—Cancels the modifications.

Task

Your Action
1.
Click Neighbor next to Group.
2.
In the Name box, enter the name of an interface over which
a routing device communicates to its neighbors.
3.
In the Comment box, enter the comment.
4.
From the Route Timeout list, select the estimated time to
wait before making updates to the routing table.
5.
From the Update Interval list, select the estimated time to
wait before making updates to the routing table.
6.
From the Metric In list, select the metric value.
Your Action
1.
Click Import Policy next to Neighbor.
2.
Use the following options to select the policies to import:
Click Add after selecting a policy member from the Non
member list to add it to the Members list.
Click Remove after selecting a policy from the Members
list to remove it from the Members list.
Click Add All to add all the Non members to the Members
list.
Click Remove All to remove all the members from the
Members list.
