Synchronizing the
Network
You can set the network synchronization function
required for ST 2110 transmission. This function uses the
PTP protocol.
Note
If no MKS-X1110 IP Input & Output Boards are installed
in the cross-point box or an M/E box configured in a
switcher, the menu will not be displayed.

Open the Home > Setup > 100G IP I/F > Genlock
menu (19108.31).

In the [Primary LAN] group, press the [Genlock]
button to enable/disable the network synchronization
function.
On: Enable network synchronization on the primary
LAN.
Off: Disable network synchronization on the primary
LAN.

In the [Primary LAN] group, press the [Domain]
button and enter the domain number of the PTP leader
using the numeric keypad.

In the [Primary LAN] group, select the
communication method of the PTP leader from the
[Communication Mode] pull-down list.
Multicast: Multicast response to multicast signal
from the leader
Mixed: Unicast response to multicast signal from the
leader

In the [Secondary LAN] group, press the [Genlock]
button to enable/disable the PTP function.
On: Enable network synchronization on the
secondary media LAN.
Off: Disable network synchronization on the
secondary media LAN.

In the [Secondary LAN] group, select the
communication method of the PTP leader from the
[Communication Mode] pull-down list.
Multicast: Multicast response to multicast signal
from the leader
Mixed: Unicast response to multicast signal from the
leader

Press the [Apply] button.
To return to the previous setting
Press the [Clear] button.

Check the message, then press [OK].
To check the network synchronization state
The following network synchronization information is
displayed for each box under [Genlock Status] in the
Home > Setup > 100G IP I/F > Genlock menu
(19108.31).
• Logical box ID number (1 to 5)
• Primary LAN status information
• Secondary LAN status information
The following status information is displayed.
--: Network synchronization function disabled
No Master: PTP leader cannot be found
Locking: Synchronizing with PTP leader
Locked: Synchronized with PTP leader
