Set the [Frame Synchronizer] switch to the on state.
To disable a frame synchronizer, set the [Frame
Synchronizer] switch to the off state.

Setting a Format Converter

You can use a format converter on odd-numbered inputs.
Note
When the system signal format is 720P, a format
converter cannot be used.
Setting the conversion format
You can set the signal format of an input signal to convert
by the format converter.
Notes
• Field frequency and frame frequency conversion is not
supported.
• If a conversion format that is different from the system
signal format is configured, the ancillary data will be
deleted.
• When receiving IP signals, adjacent ports may be
affected if the adjacent input ports are in the following
states.
– When a signal is input that is different from the input
format converter setting
– When the input format converter setting is changed
– When one input signal is disconnected while the same
signal source is being input
The following ports are affected, depending on the
signal format of the system.
– 2160P: Affected in units of 2 ports. [1ch-2ch]
[3ch-4ch] ... [143ch-144ch]
– 1080P, 1080i: Affected in units of 4 ports. [1ch-4ch]
[5ch-8ch] ... [157ch-160ch]

a) Configurable only for 100G IP input.

c) Only the first number input in each group of four odd-numbered inputs
(for example, the port numbers for input connectors 1, 3, 5, 7 are 1, 2, 3,
4) can be set. The settings of the inputs in each group are linked and
change accordingly.

Press the [FC Format] button and select an input
signal format from the pull-down list.
Adjusting the conversion method
The conversion method adjustment items and the target
conversion formats are given below.

Adjust the conversion method.
To set the up-converter conversion mode
Press the [Conversion] button and select a conversion
mode from the pull-down list.
Frame: Conversion in frame units
Field: Conversion in field units
Adaptive: Detects motion in the signal, and
automatically switches mode between conversion in
frame units and field units.
When [Adaptive] is selected, press the [Motion] button
and enter a detection sensitivity (1 to 4) in the numeric
keypad window.
