Open the MLS Manager Home > System > Island >
Format menu (60211.03).

In the [Frequency] group, select a system frequency.
59.94: Selects 59.94 Hz.
50: Selects 50 Hz.
Note
If the cross-point box signal format is 720P and
[Frequency] is then set to [50], the cross-point box
signal format is forcibly changed to [1080i].
Setting the reference signal format
You can set the reference signal format of a switcher
configured from multiple boxes in an island.

Open the MLS Manager Home > System > Island >
Format menu (60211.03).

In the [Reference Format] group, select the format of
the reference signal.
Tri Sync: Selects HD tri-level sync.
BB: Selects black burst or sync.
Setting the signal format of a cross-point
box
You can set the signal format of a cross-point box in an
island.
Note
If the signal formats of a switcher and cross-point box do
not match, the cross-point box cannot be operated.
For details, see "Logical Switchers" (page 17) in
"System Configuration."

Open the MLS Manager Home > System > Island >
Format menu (60211.03).

In the [XPT Box Signal Format] group, select a signal
format.
2160P 2SI: Selects 2160P 2SI signal format.
1080P: Selects 1080P signal format.
1080i: Selects 1080i signal format.
720P: Selects 720P signal format.
Notes
• If a "4K Upgrade License (MZS-X1500)" has not
been assigned to the cross-point box, [2160P 2SI]
cannot be selected.
• When the system frequency is set to 50, [720P]
cannot be selected.
• When a change from [2160P 2SI], [1080P], or
[1080i] to [720P] is applied, all switchers with
multiple-box configuration within an island are set
to [720P]. Also, when a change from [720P] to
[2160P 2SI], [1080P], or [1080i] is applied, all
switchers with multiple-box configuration within
an island are set to [1080i].

Configuring a Switcher

You can assign boxes and control panels to a switcher in
an island.
The box with a logical box ID of 1 becomes the primary
box, and the other boxes become secondary boxes.

Open the MLS Manager Home > System > Island >
Logical Switcher Config menu (60211.04).

Select a tab to change the switcher to configure.

In the [Box] group list on the left, select an
assignment destination logical box ID.

In the [Box] group list on the right, select a box to
assign to the switcher.

Press the [Assign] button.
Note
Changing a box from a primary box to a secondary
box will delete the content data and package files
stored in the box. Save important content data and
package files on a computer or on external media
connected to a computer.
To release a box assignment
Press the [Release] button to release the box
assignment for the selected logical box ID.
Note
When a box assignment is released, the license
assigned to the box is also released.

In the [Panel] group list on the left, select an
assignment destination control panel ID.

In the [Panel] group list on the right, select a control
panel to assign to the switcher.

Press the [Assign] button.
To release a control panel assignment
Press the [Release] button to release the control panel
assignment for the selected control panel ID.
