Configuring a host
1
Open the MLS Manager Home > SNMP > v1/v2c
Hosts menu (64101.03).
2
Press an [Address 1] to [Address 3] button for [SNMP
v1/v2c Communication Hosts] and enter an SNMP
manager allowed to connect using the keyboard.
You can enter an IPv4 address, IPv6 address, or
FQDN (fully qualified domain name) for the SNMP
manager, or a network IPv4 address or IPv6 address.
3
Press an [Address 1] to [Address 3] button for [SNMP
v1/v2c Trap Hosts] and enter a destination SNMP
manager to send traps using the keyboard.
You can enter an IPv4 address, IPv6 address, or
FQDN (fully qualified domain name) for the SNMP
manager.
4
Press the [Apply] button.
If there are any blank fields or the same address has
been entered more than once, the following
configuration occurs.
SNMP v1/v2c Communication Hosts:
• If one of the [Address 1] to [Address 3] buttons is
blank, the settings of the buttons move down to the
lower number buttons.
• If all of the [Address 1] to [Address 3] buttons are
blank, the default value (127.0.0.1) is configured
for the [Address 1] button.
• If the same address is configured in successive
fields of the [Address 1] to [Address 3] buttons, the
setting of the button with the lowest number is
retained and the duplicate is removed. For example,
if the same address is configured for the
[Address 1] button and [Address 2] button, that
address is configured for the [Address 1] button.
However, if the same address is configured for the
[Address 1] button and [Address 3] button with a
different address for the [Address 2] button, the
address configuration does not change because the
duplicate addresses are not consecutive.
SNMP v1/v2c Trap Hosts:
If one of the [Address 1] to [Address 3] buttons is
blank, the settings of the buttons move down to the
lower number buttons.
To return to the previous setting
Press the [Clear] button, check the message, then
press [OK].
5
Check the message, then press [OK].
