Configuring Boxes

Setting a Bus

All input signals collected from each box to the cross-
point box can be selected on an assigned target bus.
The number of assignable buses will vary depending on
the system signal format.
2160P format:
For an M/E box: 32 (max)
For a cross-point box: 16 (max)
1080P, 1080i, or 720P format:
For an M/E box: 96 (max)
For a cross-point box: 48 (max)
Notes
• Only the input signals and internal signals of a target
box can be selected on an unassigned bus.
• In a 1M/E box switcher configuration, this setting is not
required. All signals can be selected on all buses.
• When a multi viewer is configured for a hardware block
(physical block) of the switcher, Multi Viewer Inputs 1
to 16 are assigned to a bus. The settings cannot be
changed.

Open the Home > Setup > Switcher > Box Settings >
Bus Assign menu (19103.51).

Select the target bus number to set.
The types of buses that can be assigned are displayed
in white in [Bus Assignable Groups].

Press the [Edit Bus] button.
The [Select Bus] window appears.

Set the button for the target bus to the on state.
Select a tab to change the bus type to display.
[M/E-1] tab: M/E-1 block bus
[M/E-2] tab: M/E-2 block bus
[M/E-3] tab: M/E-3 block bus
[M/E-4] tab: M/E-4 block bus
[M/E-5] tab: M/E-5 block bus
[P/P] tab: P/P block bus
[DME/FM] tab: DME, frame memory bus

Press [OK].
Configuring a Flash Prevention Bus
for when Recalling DME Effects
Picture flashing may occur when executing a snapshot or
keyframe that uses a DME wipe or the image effect.
Configure a bus to prevent flashing.

Open the Home > Setup > Switcher > Box Settings >
Bus Assign menu (19103.51).

Select the target bus number to set.

Press the [Edit Bus] button.
The [Select Bus] window appears.

Select the target M/E tab to set.

In the [Prevention of picture flash when recalling
DME] group, select the target button to set.
Main 1st ch: Prevent flashing of the picture used as
the 1st channel DME on the main side of the
target M/E.
Sub 1st ch: Prevent flashing of the picture used as the
1st channel DME on the sub side of the target
M/E.
2nd ch (DME External): Prevent flashing of the
picture used as the 2nd channel DME on the main
side and sub side of the target M/E.
Notes
• Up to two DMEs are configurable on an M/E. In multi
program 2, main and/or sub can be configured. Channel
1/channel 2 above refers to the channels used by one
M/E.
• When [2nd ch (DME External)] is selected, the DME
External bus is configured as a flash prevention bus and
is linked to the [DME External] button setting.
