DTMB Measurement
The DTMB (Digital Terrestrial Multimedia Broadcast, the TV standard for mobile and fixed terminals used in
China, Cuba, Hong Kong, and Macau) measurement function allows users to read signal power, CNR, MER,
LM, BER, constellation, and other data.
To ensure optimal test sensitivity, maintain a distance of at least
80cm between the analyzer and the DTMB antenna connection.
When the DTMB signal has been demodulated, press the
expand to fullscreen by pressing Enter.

Settings
Channel
The channel to measure. You can select any digital channel in the active channel plan.
Frequency
Input range 4-1220 MHz.
Bandwidth
Select 6 MHz, 7 MHz, or 8 MHz.
Button Operation
[POWER]
Opens average power function.
[CONS>]
Opens constellation diagram function.
[HUM]
Opens digital hum function.
[ECHOES]
Opens echo pattern function.
[SHOULDER]
Opens band shoulder test function. (See subsection 6-17.2 below.)
[AUTO]
Auto-searches current frequency. (See Section 4-9.)
Test Results
Power:
Average power reading.
CNR:
Carrier to composite noise ratio.
MER/LM:
Difference between actual received MER value and MER threshold standard.
BER:
Bit error rate.
The threshold standard value varies by channel type, modulation type, and code rate.
