Satellite Channel Plans

A satellite channel plan involves both satellites and satellite transponders. New satellites are launched each
year, many of them using their own modified transponder settings. There is no uniform standard; thus, users
must manually enter the satellite and transponder parameters in their satellite channel plans.
For more information, see Chapter 9: Satellites and Transponders.

Creating a User Channel Plan
In the Satellite plan manager, tap Add to change the right-
hand pane to a user plan creator. Enter the satellite plan name
(or select from the list to the left).
Enter the desired longitude up to 2 decimal places, and select
either East or West. Finally, enter the TP (transponder) sum and
select the DL-C or DL-Ku band if prompted. Tap Add below
when finished, then tap List to return to the plan list.

Editing Satellite Channel Plans
There are several ways to modify an existing satellite plan. To
change its name, highlight it in the left pane and tap Edit. Enter
a new plan name using the touchscreen keyboard.
To activate or deactivate all transponders in a plan, highlight
the plan and tap Ena All / Dis All. Please ensure that all the
transponders you wish to activate are checked.
You can also modify the plan transponder-by-transponder. Tap
the plan on the left, then select a transponder and tap Edit.
In this screen, you can edit a variety of individual transponder
parameters. Settings vary by signal type, which include:
 Analog TV
