Part II: Settings and Measurements
The S7200 supports BISS Mode 1 and Mode E decryption. The BISS CAM card is different from common DVB
CA CAMs; it lacks the functions of a smart card, and so must be manually informed of the Service ID – as
well as the encryption mode of the locked program and whether to employ BISS-1 or BISS-E methods.
After inserting the BISS decryption card into the CAM slot, the
mode, tap CA Menu to view the decryption card main menu (shown below). Select Information to view
BISS information, including software/hardware/loader versions, serial number, and Buried ID.
BISS main menu
Use the touchscreen to select Setting. From here, you can set the BISS input mode, active ID, secret key,
BISS language, and if necessary, trigger a factory reset.
Secret keys and other entry fields permit decimal and hexadecimal input.
The active ID may be either Buried ID or Inject ID. Choose one to proceed to an entry list.
The S7200's BISS CAM can receive OTA upgrades. Contact your Deviser representative.
BISS currently supports 2 languages: English and German.
Setting a key
In the key edit dialog, you can select Default Key, Add Service, Service ID, and Empty All Services.
If there is no existing Service ID, you will need to add one. Tap Add Service; the S7200 will auto-recognize
the correct Service ID. You may then choose whether to Modify Key or Delete Service. To modify, select
either Mode-1 or Mode-E; then use the Up/Down keys to input your desired code.
Editing the Default Key is a similar process. If several programs use the same key, you only need to set the
default key. Simply select the proper mode and then input your key.
Finally, the Status field displays the result of the descrambling process next to the Active ID and mode that
you configured.
