By default, TE port is enabled.
Step 2
Use following command to assign a BRI hardware (Physical) port to a
TE logical port:
402-TE Port-BRI Port-#*
Where,
TE port is from 1 to 2.
BRI Port is from 1 to 2.
By default, TE Port 1 and TE Port 2 are not assigned any
Physical port. If you assign Physical Port to BRI TE port, jumper
settings for that port shall be set to match TE Mode.
Step 3
First Digit Wait Timer-This timer signifies the time for which the
system waits for first digit after the port is made OFF-Hook. On expiry
of this timer, the fixed destination number is dialed out on the port.
Use following command to program first digit wait timer for TE port:
403-TE Port-First Digit Wait Timer-#*
Where,
TE Port is from 1 to 2.
First Digit wait timer is from 01 to 99 seconds.
By default, First Digit Wait Timer is 05 seconds.
Step 4
Inter Digit Wait Timer-This timer signifies the time between two digits
dialed on the port. On expiry of this timer, the Gateway considers it to
be an end of string and proceeds with the call processing logic.
Use the following command to program the inter digit wait timer for TE
port:
404-TE Port-Inter Digit Wait Timer-#*
Where,
TE Port is from 1 to 2.
