• In order to utilize multiple extension of other PBX or to integrate an
ISDN phone, the gateway should have some interface port. This is
called NT port. The SIMADO GBR42 supports maximum of four NT
channels.
• The SIMADO GBR42 provides a facility in which NT port can be
programmed for parameters like:
• Enable/Disable Port, Logical NT Port, Inter Digit Wait Timer, TON/
NPI and other parameters.
How to program?
NT Port Parameters can be programmed in the following hierarchy:
Step 1: To enable/disable a NT port using command 501.
Step 2: To assign a BRI hardware (physical) port to a NT logical port
using command 502.
Step 3: To set Inter digit wait timer for a NT port using command
504.
Step 4: To program the ISDN Switch Variant for a NT port using
command 505.
Step 5: To program Overlap Receiving Timer for NT port using
command 506.
Step 6: To program the Idle Code for a NT port using command 510.
Step 7: To allow/deny the IC calls for NT Port using command 511.
Step 8: Program called party TON for NT port using command 513.
Step 9: Program called party NPI for NT port using command 514.
Step 10: Program calling party TON for NT port using command 515.
Step 11: Program calling party NPI for NT port using command 516.
Step 12: Select the TEI Negotiation Mode for NT port using command
517.
Step 13: Program the TEI Negotiation Value for Fixed TEI Negotiation
Mode using command 518.
Step 1
Port Status (Enable/Disable)-This command is used to disable a NT
port. It is required to disable the port in case no calls are to be
initiated or terminated on this port. If disabled, the caller gets error
tone, on accessing the port.
