Step 4
ISDN Switch Variant-Different countries use specific type of ISDN
switch. This switch is designed using the protocol for ISDN standard
or it can be a proprietary of manufacturing company of the switch. For
example, France is using-French Delta and USA is using ISDN-1
(NI-1) type of switch. DMS-100 works as per proprietary protocol of
Nortel. The SIMADO GBR42 supports only ETSI_NET3, for India.
Use following command to program the ISDN switch variant for a NT
port:
505-NT Port-ISDN Switch Variant-#*
Where,
NT Port is from 1 to 2.
ISDN Switch Variant is 01 (ETSI_NET3).
By default, ISDN Switch Variant is '01'.
Step 5
Overlap Receiving Timer: This parameter is applicable only while
receiving the called party number information in overlap receiving
mode. It is not applicable for the port in overlap sending mode.
Use following command to program Overlap Receiving Timer for NT
Port:
506-NT Port-Overlap Receiving Timer-#*
Where,
NT Port is from 1 to 2.
Overlap Receiving Timer is from 001 to 255 seconds.
By default, Overlap Receiving Timer is 15 seconds.
Step 6
Idle Code-It is a parameter used to signify that whether the channel is
used or unused. For this, a specific binary code from 000 to 255 is
sent on the channel. The Idle code for NT port should be programmed
same as the 'TE Port'. The significance of this code is that, it is kept
programmable as per the network, so that the network will consider
the channel as idle, whenever it is idle.
Use following command to program the idle channel code for the NT
port:
510-NT Port-Idle Code-#*
