5.2 Powering on a Device
Turn on all the switches on the power module.

After powering on a device, you need to check:

5.4 Powering off a Device
Turn off all the switches on the power module.

Check Item and Description
The screws on the cables, if any, are
fastened firmly.
Whether you can hear that the fans are rotating and the air is exhausted from the airway
after the device is powered on.
Whether the indicators of each power module are normal. If a power module on the X3/
X8/X16 series router is working properly, the green indicator RUN is always on and the
red indicator ALM is always off. If a power module on the -8 series router is working
properly, the green indicators PWR IN and PWR OUT are always on and the red indicator
ALM is always off.
Whether the indicators of each fan module are normal. If a fan module on the X3/X8/X16
series router is working properly, the indicator STATUS blinks green. If a fan module on
the -8 series router is working properly, the green indicator RUN blinks and the red indicator
ALM is always off.
Whether the indicators of the board are normal. If the board is working properly, the
indicator RUN blinks and the indicator ALM is always off.
