Replacing and Conditioning the Piston Tip

The piston tip should be replaced when deemed necessary; and must be conditioned before
using.

Replacing the Upper Piston Tip

1. Select Unit 1 > Return Upper Piston Home to move the piston to its uppermost position,
completely out of the sample chamber.

2. Slide the sample compartment shield to its uppermost position.
3. Place a stiff piece of paper or cardboard over the top of the sample funnel to prevent the
loosened tip from accidentally falling down into the chamber.
