5. Remove the brake line retainers from the lower A-arm
(if applicable).
6. Remove the lower A-arm fasteners from vehicle
frame and remove A-arm.
7. Examine A-arm bushings and pivot shafts. Replace if
worn and discard the hardware.
WARNING
The locking agent on the existing bolts was destroyed
during removal. DO NOT reuse old hardware. Serious
injury or death could result if fasteners come loose
during operation.
8. If not replacing the A-arm, thoroughly clean the A-arm
and pivot shafts.

2. Install the fasteners retaining the upper A-arm to the
bearing carrier. Torque new fasteners to specification.
TORQUE
Rear Upper A-Arm to Bearing Carrier Fasteners
40 ft-lbs (54 N·m)
3. Grease all A-arm grease fittings after reassembly.
4. Install the rear wheel and hub. Torque wheel nuts to
specification.
TORQUE
Wheel Lug Nuts
120 ft-lbs (162 N·m)
IMPORTANT
Upon A-arm installation completion, test vehicle at low
speeds before putting into service.
REAR LOWER A-ARM INSTALLATION
1. Install new lower A-arm assembly onto vehicle frame.
Torque new fasteners to specification.

2. Install the fasteners retaining the lower A-arm to the
bearing carrier. Torque new fasteners to specification.
