STEERING / SUSPENSION

REAR A-ARM INSTALLATION

1. Install lower A-arm assembly onto vehicle frame.
Torque new fasteners to specification.
TORQUE
Rear Upper / Lower A-arm Bolts:
39 ft-lb (53 Nm)
2. Attach lower A-arm to bearing carrier. Torque new
fastener to specification.
3. Route brake line on top of the lower A-arm and into
the routing clip.
4. Reinstall the lower portion of the shock and stabilizer
bar to the lower A-arm. Torque shock fastener to
specification.
TORQUE
Shock Mounting Bolts:37 ft-lb (50 Nm)
5. Install upper A-arm assembly onto vehicle frame.
Torque new fastener to specification.
TORQUE
Rear Upper / Lower A-arm Bolts:
39 ft-lb (53 Nm)
6. Attach upper A-arm to bearing carrier. Torque new
fastener to specification.
TORQUE
Upper and Lower Bearing Carrier Bolts:
40 ft-lb (54 Nm)
7. Install wheel and torque wheel nuts to specification.
TORQUE
Wheel Nuts:
Steel Rims: 27 ft-lbs (37 Nm)
Aluminum Rims: 30 ft-lbs (41 Nm) + 90°
WARNING
Upon A-arm installation completion, test vehicle at low
speeds before putting into service.
