REAR DRIVE SHAFT INSTALLATION

1. Install NEW spring ring on drive shaft. Apply an anti-
seize compound to the splines.
IMPORTANT
A
Ensure the O-ring is present and not damaged
before installation.

2. Align splines of drive shaft with transmission splines
and reinstall the drive shaft. Use a rubber mallet to
tap on the outboard end of the drive shaft if
necessary.
NOTICE
Grab the drive shaft joint near the transmission and
give a brief tug to ensure the snap ring is fully engaged.
3. Install drive shaft through the backside of the bearing
carrier.
4. Install rear bearing carrier onto control arms and
mounting fasteners. Torque fasteners to specification.
TORQUE
Rear Bearing Carrier Mounting Fasteners:
81 lb-ft (110 Nm)
5. Apply anti-seize to drive shaft splines.
