USED PISTON MEASUREMENT

Note the measurement on the piston dome.

Using a micrometer, measure piston at A perpen-
dicularly (90°) to piston pin.

NOTE: Make sure used piston is not worn more
than specified. See USED PISTON MEASURE-
MENT above.
Take the measurement on the piston dome.

Adjust and lock a micrometer to the specified value
on the piston dome.
1. Micrometer set to the piston dimension
With the micrometer set to the piston dimension,
adjust a cylinder bore gauge to the micrometer di-
mension and set the indicator to 0.
