Section 04 ENGINE
Subsection 03 (443 AND 552 ENGINE TYPES)
Remove piston from connecting rod.
Install locating sleeve. Then push needle bearings
along with thrust washers and sleeve.

NOTE: 0.25 and 0.5 mm oversized piston and
rings are available if necessary.
Use a locking tie to fasten all needles and thrust
washers along with locating sleeve.

INSPECTION

Refer to ENGINE DIMENSION MEASUREMENT.

ASSEMBLY

443 and 552 Engines
When reinstalling original needle bearings, make
sure that 31 needles (in case of 443 engine) or 34
(in case of 552 engine) are inserted between
sleeve and locating sleeve.
When installing a new cageless bearing, replace
half plastic cages by sleeve.

Grease thrust washers and install them on each
end of needles.
Insert cageless bearing into connecting rod.
