Serial Data Operation – Data Monitor

If the EXTenders are configured for Call-on-Demand operation and you wish to also use Serial Data then

you should enable Data Monitor at Remote Module.

Data Monitor, when enabled, allows the RS-232 port on either the Remote or the Office Modules to keep the

modules online if there is data to communicate. Also, when in Call On Demand Waiting, the RS-232 port

will wake up the system if there is data to communicate. This should be enabled to prevent loss of data (or

overflow of the buffer) when the units are in COD waiting.

You can only configure this feature from your telephone. The state of the Data Monitor is passed to the

Office Module on the initial password connection.
