LED Sequences

The LED sequences on the Office and Remote Modules are indicators of the status of the extenders during
power up. Please refer to the tables below if you experience problems when powering up or during normal
operation.

Table 17: LED Power-up Hardware Test Sequences

LED Sequence
No LED blinks.
First blink: Red or Green
Yellow
Yellow & 1 Red
Yellow & 2 Red
Yellow & 3 Red
Yellow & 7 Reds & 1 Green

LED Power-up Verification Errors

The LED blink sequences in Table 18 indicate other blink sequences that may be observed if there are prob-
lems during the power-up sequence.

Table 18: LED Power-up Verification Error Sequences

LED Sequence
Solid yellow with green blinks indicates
the decompress state. If there was a prob-
lem decompressing you will see a repeat-
ing series of yellow and red blinks with
no pauses.
After the Hardware Tests there will be a
period where the LED flickers red. The
length of time depends on whether or not
a software upgrade or flash error has
occurred.
After the flash is verified (red flicker)
there will be a period of FLASH code
decompression (solid yellow with green
blinks). But if the flash verification failed
then we will continue running the
EPROM code. This is indicated by 3 red
blinks.

Troubleshooting
Description
Error with hardware or AC adapter.
LED is not functioning properly as units should blink Yellow.
Checksum test failed.
DRAM, Data test failed
DRAM Address test failed
DUART, test failed.
Passed all hardware tests
Description
Decompress failed. The number of red blinks between each
yellow blink indicates the decompression error. Power cycle
unit and if problem continues then contact Customer Support.
1 Red - not a valid compressed image.
2 Red - invalid compression method
3 red – invalid compression flags.
4 red – decompression error.
5 red – CRC mismatch.
6 red – length mismatch.
10 to 15 seconds red flicker - FLASH code is being veri-
fied and if valid will be executed.
25 to 30 seconds red flicker - FLASH code is invalid
EPROM code is copied to FLASH.
Solid yellow with green blinks - flash verification
passed, decompressing flash code.
3 red blinks - Running EPROM code, FLASH write
failed. Contact Customer Support.
