Table 18: LED Power-up Verification Error Sequences
LED Sequence
LED blinking green and red continu-
ously
The Extender will proceed through a series of blink sequences as it performs the power-on self-test and
loads the runtime software into memory. Table 5 describes the meaning of these blink sequences as the
power-up process is run.
LED Indication
Off
Solid yellow. If this blink is any other color than yellow
then the LED is defective.
7 quick red blinks.
Red flickering. (10 to 40 seconds) the LED will flicker at
different rates for each of erasing, programming, or verify-
ing the flash code. Normally only the very fast flicker will
be observed while the flash code is verified. Erasing and
programming LED flicker rates will only be observed
when upgrading the Extender firmware.
Solid green.
Solid yellow with green blinks, ending with solid green.
This whole sequence last about 20 seconds.
3 green blinks.
Two sets of yellow, yellow, red, red.
Three sets of 8 yellow blinks.
Repeating set of four blinks: Refer to Table 20: below for a
description of there meaning.
During normal operation, after the power-up process is completed, the LED will repeatedly flash a set of
four blinks followed by a brief pause. Table 18 below describes the meaning of these blinks.

Invalid/incompatible software was loaded on the unit.
Cycle the power to revert to EPROM code. If problem
continues contact customer support.
