Dial-up Data Configuration 1 – TA Modem Dial-Up Networking
This configuration uses the Remote Module to provide complete digital phone functionality on one ISDN B
Channel, while the other B Channel is dedicated to providing remote access to the corporate network (LAN).
The Remote Module acts as an ISDN modem or terminal adapter and allows the remote PC to establish a
PPP connection using Windows 95 Dial-Up Networking or some other remote networking client. The call is
terminated by the Office Module, which is connected to a Remote Access Server (RAS) via an RS-232
cable. The Remote Access Server terminates the actual PPP connection.
