Configuring Data Menu

1.
From the Main Menu, select Configure Data.
2.
Press Enter. The Configure Data menu appears.

Setting the Data Type

The EXTender 3000, provides three data communication options (Data Types):
Data Type
Serial
Dial-up
Ethernet
Additional details on data mode configuration are available in the
guide.

To set the Data Type:

1.
Go to the Configure Data menu.
2.
Select Data Type. Note that the current data type is displayed.
3.
Press Enter to change the data type.
If Data Type has changed, the Module will display.
Module will Restart if Data Type has Changed? [Y/N]
If you enter N the previous Data Type will be restored.
If you enter Y the new Data Type is saved and the Module will be restarted for the change to take effect.

Description
Data is multiplexed with PBX voice connection on one B channel
The second B channel is used to provide a dial-up connection (for use with the
Dial-up networking feature of Windows 95, 98, NT4.0 and 2000)
The second B channel is used to provide ethernet bridging.
