RETURNING MFCS FOR REPAIR

Before returning any product for repair and/or adjustment, first follow all
troubleshooting procedures. If, after following these procedures, you still have a
problem, or if the procedure instructs you to, contact AE Global Services and discuss
the problem with a representative. Be prepared to give the model number and serial
number of the MFC, as well as the reason for the proposed return. This consultation
call allows Global Services to determine whether the problem can be corrected in the
field or if the MFC needs to be returned. Such technical consultation is always free of
charge.
If you return an MFC without first getting authorization from Global Services
and that MFC is found to be functional, you will be charged a re-test and
calibration fee plus shipping charges.

Packing an MFC for Shipping

Prior to shipping an MFC back to AE for repair or return, you must
receive authorization from AE Global Services. For more information,
see
Observe the following requirements when packing an MFC for shipment:
• Obtain a return authorization number from Global Services.
• Include the appropriate material safety data sheet (MSDS) information. Without
this information, AE will return the MFC to you without repair.
• Follow your company procedures for purging and removal of an MFC.
• Seal the MFC end-fittings for shipping.
• Place the MFC in two plastic bags (double-bag packaging) for shipment. Be sure
to vacuum seal each bag.
Pack the MFC with sufficient shock absorbent material to prevent damage to MFC's
plastic bag from vibration or impact during shipment.
