If ON status of the alarm indicator (controller red indicator) or alarm output
continues, check the following.
Also refer to "Chapter 7 Troubleshooting".

4-6-3 Condition for Unfixed Output Data

When "SEND" is executed or image is acquired by changing the setting con-
ditions on the HL-D3SMI, the measurement is temporarily stopped and start-
ed again.
Immediately after restart, the measurement data is unfixed during
the sampling cycle x average number of movements (*1). The measurement
value is fixed (999.999 mm) and the all judgment outputs (HI/GO/LO of
OUT1 to OUT3) are OFF.
When the laser is OFF, unfixed status also occurs. Immediately after laser ON,
unfixed status continues for the sampling cycle x average number of move-
ments (*1).
*1: In the external synchronous mode, the output data is unfixed for the p e-
riod of the external trigger input of (number of moving average + 1) times.
