5-1-3 Change Method of Communication

Communication conditions of baud rate, data length and parity check are
fixed for the HL-D3C (controller) side. Please note that it is necessary to set
communication conditions of external devices.

 Configure communication specifications

Configure communication specifications of HL-D3
The communication specifications of RS-232C on HL-D3 are listed in the
table in "5-1-1 Specifications". Set them according to situations.

Configure communication specifications of host device
Read the manual of the external host device carefully and change settings
of the RS-232C communication specification for the host device so that the
settings may be the same as the HL-D3 side.
Or make settings of HL-D3 same as those of the external host device.

Sending request communication data from host device to
HL-D3
Send the request communication data from the host device to the
HL-D3.For the type of request communication data, refer to "5-1-6
Command List".

Receiving response communication data from HL-D3
Response communication data is returned from the HL-D3 for the request
communication data sent. Receive this and check the processing result. When
the processing is normally completed, a normal response communication data
is returned. If a problem occurs, an error response communication data is
returned.

Sending next request communication data
If there is other request communication data to be sent to the HL-D3, send
the next request communication data after receiving the response
communication data and checking the processing result.
Do not send the next request communication data while waiting for
response communication data from the HL-D3.The HL-D3 may not receive
the request communication data.
