APPENDIX D: S
The Series 3000 Sonar System is designed for easy operation with most popular
magnetometers. This appendix provides instructions on how to set up the Series
3000 for use with an optional magnetometer.
D.1 Configuring the System for a Magnetometer
The power voltage for an optional magnetometer is set on the Multiplexer board
with a jumper on JP2. The power supply for the optional magnetometer is shown
in Figure C-31 on page C-32.
The jumper positions are the following:
• 1-2 for external power (default when no magnetometer is in use)
• 3-4 for +5 volts
• 5-6 for +12 volts
• 7-8 for +200 volts
The Klein startup.ini file located in the klein folder is used to set boot parameters.
