Installing the Sub Bottom Profiler
The Chirp Sub Bottom Profiler mounts directly to the Series 3000 towfish. There
are two main components to install, the hydrophone and the transducer/electronics
assembly. In addition, the required mounting brackets, cables and hardware are
provided.
To mount the sub bottom profiler, the towfish must be partially disassembled. The
tools and materials required are 4, 6 and 8-mm hex keys, a 5/16 hex key, a 3/4-inch
adjustable wrench, a socket wrench with a 17-mm socket, a Phillips screw driver,
and silicone grease.
