C.6.13 Checking the FETs
If you are having transmitter problems, you can check FETs Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4
on the Transceiver boards with a multimeter. These FETs are shown in
Figure C-38.
Measure the resistance across each of the FETs as shown in Figure C-38. The
readings should be about 2.4 megohms. Reverse the test leads and re-measure. The
readings should be about 3.7 megohms. The readings will vary slightly, but if there
is a large reduction in resistance for an FET, it may not be functioning properly.
