Turn the towfish off and then on again and check that the compass is working.
C.6.17 Calibrating the Compass with a
Magnetometer (Optional)
Before running the compass calibration, you must turn off the magnetometer
uplink.
To calibrate the compass with a magnetometer:
1. Open the startup.ini file in the klein directory.
2. Change the line set DEFAULTUPLINK 1 to set DEFAULTUPLINK 0.
3. Save the startup.ini file.
4. Run the compass calibration as described in "Calibrating the Compass" on page
C-38.
5. Open the startup.ini file and change set DEFAULTUPLINK 0 back to
DEFAULTUPLINK 1.
