To mount the sub bottom
profiler to the towfish:
Raise the towfish off the

floor on wooded blocks
and orient it such that the
middle tail fin is pointing
straight up.
Using the 8-mm hex key,

loosen the M10 socket
head cap screw on the tail
cone far enough to be able
to separate the retaining
cup from the tail cone, and
then remove both tail fins.
Store these components
away. They will not be
needed with the sub bottom profiler installed.
Remove the socket head

cap screw, lock washer and
retaining cup as an
assembly, and then remove
the tail cone.
