Windows 7 - Configure the PC to communicate with the WDM:
•
On the computer, go to Start > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center.
•
On the left panel, click the option Change Adapter Settings.
•
Right click Local Area Connection and select Properties from the menu. The Local
Area Connection Properties dialog opens.
•
In the Networking tab, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4). Click the
Properties button. The Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) dialog opens.
•
In the General tab, select the option button Use the following IP address. Enter
the IP address as 192.168.1.x and Subnet Mask as 255.255.255.0.
•
Click OK to close the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) dialog.
Click Close to close the Local Area Connection Properties dialog.

WARNING! You must turn on a single WDM at a time, at the default address
because the second WDM removes itself from the network if a duplicate address is
detected. The removed WDM does not recover unless power-cycled.
Configuring the WDM Network Properties
To log on to the WDM user interface:
•
Launch an Internet browser.
•
Enter the IP address for the WDM in the URL box. To log on to the user interface
for the first time from the PCN side of the network, enter the default IP address:
https://192.168.1.1.

Write down the current settings (if any) so that you can return to
the original values if necessary.
Do not configure the computer with the default IP address of the
WDM, 192.168.1.1.
Microsoft Silverlight 5 plug-in is required on the computer used
for accessing the WDM user interface. You will be prompted to
install or update Silverlight when you attempt to connect to the
WDM only if it is not installed or if the computer has a prior
version. A copy of Silverlight is maintained on the WDM for
installs and upgrades; no Internet or external connection is
required.
If you have connected to the FDN side of the network, enter the
default IP address: https://192.168.0.1.
