Holding the other end of the carrier, remove the carrier and processor in the arrow
direction. See (2) and (3) in
NOTE
l When removing a processor, hold the processor and its carrier to prevent the processor from falling
off.
l To prevent damage to the pins, do not touch the pins of the processor socket or the corresponding
area on the processor.
l Keep the processor away from the chassis to prevent thermal compound from falling off.
Bend the edge of the carrier with the triangular hole to release the processor from the
carrier.

Hold the two sides of the processor and lift it.
