NIC port numbers
– If Windows is used, query the port numbers in the network sharing center.
– If VMware ESXi is used, run the esxcli network nic list command on the CLI.
– If Linux is used, run the ifconfig -a command on the CLI.
WWPN of the NIC
– If Windows is used, use the HBA card management tool to query the WWPN.
– If VMware ESXi is used, run the esxcli storage san fc list command on the CLI.
– If Linux is used, run the cat /sys/class/fc_host**/port_name command.
NIC bus information
On the CLI, run the lspci|grep -i eth command to query the NIC chip name, and obtain
the bus number based on the NIC chip name.
