Introduction
System Options
• Aliquot module to create labeled secondary tubes and detect that the sample volume is
sufficient for the requested aliquots
• Recapper module to reseal decapped tubes for archiving
The system identifies and decaps closed, bar coded sample tubes and distributes them from
an input section to an output section under the control of a Laboratory Information System
(LIS). The system aliquoter produces secondary bar coded tubes which are then sorted to
the output section.
The system is available in four different configurations:
• AutoMate1200 – Standard Sorter
• AutoMate1250 – Sorter with Aliquot Module
• AutoMate2500 – High Speed Sorter
• AutoMate2550 – High Speed Sorter with Aliquot Module

System Options
Depending on your system configuration the following features may or may not be
available:
• Aliquot Module (systems 1250 and 2550 only), produces aliquots (secondary tubes)
from existing samples.
• Printer, labels aliquot samples with an integrated printer. The printer is included in
the Aliquot Module systems (AutoMate1250 and AutoMate 2550).
• Microtiter Plate (MTP), creates clones of probes using a special plate type for
distribution, analysis and archiving.
• Recapper recaps tubes with a transparent plastic foil (Parafilm).
