Procedure
Important
Turn off the power of the system before servicing. Whenever service or maintenance is
necessary, it is mandatory to turn off the power of the system 30 minutes before
opening the cover of the TIU.
Note
When working on the TIU system, always wear lint-free, cotton gloves over disposable
protective gloves to protect yourself from infection, or to avoid traces of grease on the
mirror or on the lamp surface.
Note
For cleaning use a fresh, clean, lint-free, absorbent tissue or optical paper. Any dust
particles can scratch the delicate coatings of the glass surface.

Remove the cover of the TIU.

Clean the mirror:
a. Soak an absorbent tissue with isopropanol and wipe the mirror.
b. If smears are still present, repeat the procedure.
c. Wipe carefully using dry optical paper.

Inspect the mirror:
a. Inspect if the linear bearing of the X-axis is running smoothly.
b. If necessary, grease the linear bearing.
c. Turn on the system.
d. Confirm that the mirror surface is clean and intact.

Put on the cover.
