Remove the oil cooler cover, gaskets and coder element.

Clean the sealing surfaces.
Apply 483 kPa [70 PSI] air pressure to the element to check for
[ 3 M
leaks.

Assemble the oil cooler gaskets, element and cover.
Torque Value; 24 N-m [18 ft-lbs]
Note: Be sure to remove the plastic shipping plugs from a new
element.
