3.4.5.3 Configuring the Analog Outputs
Make the required settings for the analog outputs in Chromeleon or on the front panel display.
To configure the analog outputs in Chromeleon
1. On the Detector page in the Properties dialog of the detector, verify that the DAC
check box is selected (→ page 45). When the check box is cleared, the analog outputs
will not be available in Chromeleon.
2. Open the Commands dialog box for the detector.
3. Make the required settings.

To configure the analog outputs from the front panel display
1. Show the function keys and select Menu.
2. Select the Configuration menu.
3. Select Analog Out and set the mode, offset, and range as required (compare the
analog output settings in the table above).

3.4.6 Connecting the PCM-3000 (optional)

The installation of the pH and Conductivity Monitor is described in the Operating Instructions
of the PCM-3000.

Description
Sets the signal that is available at the analog output. Depending on the
channel of interest, select
Abs_A (B, C, or D) for the absorption
Measm_A (B, C, or D) for the measuring channel, or
Ref_A (B, C, or D) for the reference channel
(The setting Direct is reserved for Service and, therefore, should not be
selected.)
Adjusts the zero position of the analog output when it is plotted. The
value entered is a percentage of the full-scale analog output. The offset
allows the evaluation device to plot the signal if it becomes negative.
Even with a very small, positive analog output signal an offset of 5 %, for
example, should be set, because the minimum output voltage of the analog
output cannot be exactly 0 V.
Sets the voltage range, and thus the resolution of the analog output signal.
The range to use depends on the values expected for the application and
the evaluation device to which the output is connected.
