Holmium line around ### nm out of
specified range
Holmium filter tranmission low. Bad
wavelength calibration or holmium filter
impaired.
In Chromeleon version earlier than 6.80 Service Release 7, the following messages may
appear:
• Intensity low
If this message appears, remove th flow cell and install the dummy flow cell or a
different flow cell (→ page 126).
• Holmium line at ###.# nm position mismatch.
Take the remedial actions as described 'Wavelength of holmium line around xxx nm not
found.'

Remedial Action
(where ### indicates the position)
The first message appears if, in the measurement channel, the
indicated wavelength deviates more than 2 nm from the
reference value. If this error occurs, the transmission is
checked, too. If an error occurs during the measurement of
transmission, an additional message appears.
If only the first message appears, take the following remedial
action:
1. Repeat the test.
2. Verify that the flow cell is correctly installed and
reinstall the flow cell if necessary (→ page 126).
3. Check the optical path of the flow cell, making sure that
it is neither contaminated or obstructed nor damaged in
any other way.
4. Run the Dark Current Test to test the dark current, if
you have not yet done so.
5. If a lamp was replaced, verify that the new lamp is
correctly installed and reinstall the lamp if necessary
(→ page 119).
6. Install the dummy flow cell (→ page 126).
7. Perform the Calibration Test.
8. Turn the detector off, wait for 30 seconds, and then turn
it on again by pressing the power switch on the rear of
the detector.
If both messages appear, install the dummy flow cell
→ 126),
