Remedial Action
Determination of the lamp intensity failed. Determine the lamp intensity
manually by performing the related command on the Diagnostics >
Status & special functions menu (→ page 71). Perform the Reset
command in Chromeleon to reset the detector to the initial conditions
upon power-up. Consider replacing the lamps (→ page 119).
Turn the detector off, wait for 30 seconds, and then turn it on again by
pressing the power switch on the rear of the detector. If the message
appears again, contact Service.
The leak sensor has reported a leak. Check the flow cell for indications of
leakage. Retighten leaking connections if necessary. Dry the leak sensor
(→ page 131).
The leak sensor has reported a leak. Check the flow cell for indications of
leakage. Retighten leaking connections if necessary. Dry the leak sensor
(→ page 131).
Change the wavelength setting or turn on the other lamp.
Turn the detector off and on again by pressing the power switch on the
rear of the detector.
If the message appears again, check whether the identification chips of the
flow cell or the lamps are defective. Turn off the detector. Remove the
flow cell (→ page 126) and the lamps (→ page 119), and then turn on the
detector again. Consider replacing the flow cell or lamps.
Execute the AutoZero command and restart data acquisition. If this does
not solve the issue, execute the UpdateLampIntensity command in
Chromeleon, followed by another AutoZero command.
Select a lower data collection rate for multi-wavelength operation.
This message is normal for a dummy flow cell. For all other flow cells,
remove and reinstall the flow cell and close the front panel door. If the
detector does not recognize the flow cell, it should be replaced. However,
measuring is still possible.
The installed lamp is not a Dionex lamp. That is why the system wellness
features are not supported. Install a Dionex lamp (→ page 119).
If the detector displays several temperature sensor failure messages,
remove the flow cell and close the front panel door. If temperature
changes are displayed after a short time, reinstall the flow cell. If the
message appears again, the flow cell is defective and must be replaced. If
there is still no temperature data displayed (i.e., the temperature does not
change for some time), turn the detector off, wait for 30 seconds, and then
turn it on again by pressing the power switch on the rear of the detector.
No spectral line could be found for the selected wavelength. Retry. Select
a different wavelength, if necessary.
Execute the AutoZero command and restart data acquisition. If this does
not solve the issue, execute the UpdateLampIntensity command in
Chromeleon, followed by another AutoZero command.
